 Allegheny Blue Band Members



Caleb Bailey: Caleb is the lead singer and lead guitarist for Allegheny Blue.  Caleb's singing and playing are not the only contributions that he makes to the band, he has also written many of the original songs that they perform. He is a graduate of Bridgewater College and he and his fiancé Monica are going to be married in the fall of 2011. He currently resides in Grottoes, Virginia where he works as a professional fireman.

 

 



Daniel Howdyshell: Daniel is the rhythm guitar player and baritone singer for Allegheny Blue.  Daniel's aggresive rhythm provides the edge to the sound of the band. Daniel is a talented songwriter as well, he wrote the title cut to the band's first CD, "Greenbrier River". He owns a professional painting business and he currently resides in Verona, Virginia.


Darren Howdyshell: Darren's banjo is the driving force for the sound of Allegheny Blue.  He is the featured tenor singer for the band and he also contributes with original songs. Darren is an Associate Pastor at Briery Branch Church of the Brethren. His pride and joy are his family, Deborah, Issac, and Ayden. They live happily in Mount Solon, Virginia.



 Brandon Kyle: Brandon has become widely known for his performances as the bassist for Allegheny Blue.  His slapping style of play is a sure crowd pleaser! Music has always been in Brandon's family, he grew up listening to his Dad play.  Now Brandon can pass on his love of music to his baby girl named Tatum (AKA Tater), and he currently resides in Grottoes, Virginia with his fiancée Brittney


Spencer Blankenship:  Spencer, 21, joined Allegheny Blue in the fall of 2010, and has immediately added significant depth to the sound of the band.  Spencer is a talented musician who can also play the fiddle and the guitar, but it's his phenomenal mandolin leads that leave the crowd wanting more!  He currently is attending Virginia Tech, where he is studying agricultural education.  He resides in Blacksburg, Virginia with his wife Bonnie.
